An HTTP-only check tells you whether a configured page or endpoint responds. A synthetic form journey goes further: it opens a browser, interacts with the real form and inspects configured WordPress, tracking and CRM evidence. Both checks answer useful but different questions.
A successful HTTP response can confirm that the configured URL returned the expected status or content. It does not, by itself, click a button, validate fields, submit a form or establish that a synthetic lead reached WordPress or a CRM.
02
A browser test checks the interaction.
LeadUptime opens the public page, fills marked test details and submits the visitor-facing form once. The browser result can expose a JavaScript error, failed validation or missing success state while the page itself still returns 200 OK.
03
Downstream evidence needs its own checks.
The WordPress companion plugin links processing to the test marker. Configured browser tracking is observed separately. A connected CRM adapter can look for the exact synthetic contact, subject to provider availability and external qualification.
04
Use the checks together.
Keep HTTP, SSL, DNS and heartbeat checks for their specific signals. Use a synthetic journey for business-critical forms. LeadUptime keeps passed, failed, degraded, inconclusive and configuration-error outcomes distinct, without claiming inbox delivery.

FAQ
Common questions
Do all monitoring services only run HTTP checks?
No. Many services also offer browser checks. This page compares an HTTP-only status check with a configured LeadUptime journey, not entire competing products.
Should I remove my uptime checks?
No. Availability checks and browser journeys cover different failure modes. Keep the checks that answer the operational questions you care about.
Does a successful journey prove every real lead arrived?
No. The result describes the configured synthetic test at its run time. It does not measure every genuine customer lead or guarantee recipient inbox delivery.
