01Prepare the actual site
Record the public HTTPS form URL, plugin and required fields. Agree synthetic values and a test destination with the owner. Identify consent, CAPTCHA and hosting restrictions before defining coverage. Plugin minimums are WordPress 6.4 and PHP 8.1; minimum compatibility is not proof that every combination has been tested.
02Install and pair
An authorized WordPress administrator uploads and activates the provided versioned ZIP, then opens Settings > LeadUptime. Enter the supplied HTTPS cloud URL and a fresh 15-minute pairing token. Confirm the connection and discovered forms in the workspace. A successful pairing does not yet prove a successful form submission.
03Configure the first journey
Choose the correct public form and map the fields to agreed test values. Define the visible confirmation you expect. Add tracking or a downstream integration only when its scope and access are confirmed. Keep test contacts recognizable so they are not mistaken for real customer enquiries.
04Review before scheduling
Run the first check and compare browser evidence with the WordPress acknowledgement. Check the controlled mailbox separately if receipt is part of acceptance. Agree the schedule, alert recipient and remaining manual coverage. If local recovery is enabled, arrange the external encryption keyring and host cron with your hosting contact.
